Strawberry Crumble

- 5 cups (1250 ml) fresh (or frozen) strawberries, quartered
- 1/4 cup (65 ml) sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- CRISP
- 1 cup (250 ml) flour
- 3/4 cup (190 ml) rolled oats
- 2/3 cup (165 ml) sugar
- 2/3 cup (165 ml) brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, melted
Instructions
1-Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C).
2-Grease a pie plate or Pyrex dish and set aside.
3-In a large bowl, combine the strawberries and sugar. Mix until the strawberries absorb the sugar.
4-Add the cornstarch and vanilla extract. Mix well. Pour into the dish.
5-In a medium bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
6-Pour in the melted butter and mix well. It will be lumpy.
7-Pour over the strawberries.
8-Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
9-Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
